The upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir are set to be people-driven, with the Election Commission confident of conducting free and fair polls. This marks the first assembly elections since 2014 and follows the abrogation of Article 370. Phase I will cover 24 segments, including districts in Chenab Valley and south Kashmir.
