Israel’s short range projectile killed Hamas leader Haniyeh: Iran vows “revenge”

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have claimed that Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh was killed by Israel using a short-range missile with a warhead. The IRGC has vowed revenge, accusing both Israel and the U.S. of orchestrating and supporting the attack. Haniyeh was killed in Tehran on July 31, during a visit for the inauguration of Iran’s new president. The IRGC described the attack as a terrorist act and pledged severe retaliation. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has publicly condemned the killing and ordered direct strikes on Israel in response.
