India’s retail inflation surges to 3.65 per cent in August

CPI Inflation: India’s retail inflation in August showed a change from the previous month’s five-year low of 3.54 per cent. Food inflation, a significant part of the CPI basket, also fluctuated. Despite staying within RBI’s tolerance range, concerns over a weak rupee and monsoon risks may keep inflation pressures high.
