India and Ukraine signed four agreements covering cooperation in agriculture, medicine, culture, and humanitarian assistance during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ukraine, the first since Russia’s invasion. President Zelenskyy described the visit as “friendly and historic,” despite earlier criticism of Modi’s Russia visit. Modi emphasized India’s support for Ukraine’s peace and sovereignty, highlighting the countries’ deepening friendship. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar hailed the visit as a “landmark.”
