Both the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers have seen the two storied ball clubs end up with new owners in recent months. How will the sale of the Celtics and Lakers change these two longtime rivals and their futures in the NBA? One issue in particular connects the sales in the unusual nature of who will be calling the shots in that both Boston and Los Angeles former majority owners Wyc Grousbeck and Jeannie Buss, respectively, have written into their deals that they will stay on in some capacity after the transfer of ownership.
