Do you want to save the Vyssa Hills refugees in Hell Is Us? These NPCs might’ve escaped war-torn cities, but they still need to contend with a lot of problems. Moreover, if they’re forced to leave the area too soon, then you might not be able to tackle all the necessary objectives.
How to save the Vyssa Hills refugees in Hell Is Us
The group of Vyssa Hills refugees includes Diana Kos and the boy that she’s taking care of, Dag Samson. You’ll also meet a married couple, Alban and Esther Vosh. Lastly, there’s Atticus Caddell, who has plans to escape the region.
Note: Ideally, you should complete the tasks from Diana and the Voshes, before you focus on Atticus’ request. Atticus’ plan actually resolves certain missions even if you haven’t done them yet.
Where to find the Vyssa Hills refugee camp and the Atenolol Pill Bottle
Before you decide to help the Hell Is Us refugees in Vyssa Hills, you might want to check out the plains in the main area. You’ll notice a giant stone snake carving winding along the ground. At the snake’s “body” just before the Timeloop and the Serpent Door, you’ll spot a glowing item. Pick it up to obtain the Atenolol Pill Bottle.
From there, follow the stone snake’s outline and make a right past the Serpent Door. The winding pathway eventually leads you to the refugee camp.
Good Deeds: Death’s Door and Man’s Best Friend
The Hell Is Us refugees in Vyssa Hills have a few requests for you. Diana and Dag want you to find the aforementioned Atenolol Pill Bottle. If you’ve already picked it up as we suggested, then you can just trade it to Diana. This completes the Death’s Door Good Deed and ensures that Diana survives the ordeal.
As for the Voshes, they’re actually part of a side quest called Man’s Best Friend, which predominantly takes place in Acasa Marshes. Upon reaching Act 2 in the campaign, you can revisit the dog in Jova Village to obtain its collar. Bringing this item to the Voshes lets them know that their pet is okay.
Good Deed: Heart of Gold
After resolving the tasks from the other survivors, you can go ahead and complete Atticus’ request. Here’s a quick summary:
- You’ll find Atticus along the pathway that leads to Watcher’s Nest. He wants to help everyone escape, but he needs the key to the ON truck.
- As it so happens, the key is completely enveloped by the Timeloop in the main area. You must learn how to close Timeloops from Gildas Brom, an NPC in Watcher’s Nest.
- Once the Timeloop has collapsed, pick up the key and trade it to Atticus.
Where did all the Vyssa Hills refugees go?
Atticus made good on his promise. The Voshes will likely stay behind in the camp. However, Diana and Dag will both go with him. You’ll find the trio in Ernest Caddell’s farmhouse in Senedra Forest.
