How to solve all Mysteries in Hell Is Us – Mystery side quests guide
There are dozens of Mystery quests in the game. To make things clearer, we’ve organized our guide so that it tackles the vast majority of activities in various regions. However, we also have separate guides that you can check out:

Senedra Forest: Caddell Family Treasure
- Location: For this Hell Is Us Mystery, go up the sloping path near the ruins. Take note of the colored cairns–i.e. piles of stones–so you can pick up the Rusted Key. Once you reach the campsite with the tent, look for a ridge that lets you drop down to an area with the blue cairns.
- Reward:

Senedra Forest: Secrets of the Ram
- Location: There’s a sealed door in the ruins. The first sigil can be found in the room just past that point. The second is at the outside area near the path that leads back to the APC.
- Reward:

- Miscellaneous: Queen’s Decree
Senedra Forest/Arcas Spire: Emergency Stash
- Location: This Mystery is found in Arcas Spire, a mini-dungeon in Senedra. When you reach the large chamber with the mountain of bones and skeletons, look for a ladder that you can climb. Pick up the key and use it to unlock a chest on a walkway in the bone pit area.

- Leveling item: 5x Steady Tuning Stones
Senedra Forest/Arcas Spire: Righteous Protection
- Location: Here’s what you need to do to complete this Hell Is Us Mystery:
- After completing the Arcas Spire Puzzle, you have to walk up a long staircase.
- There’s a portion of the staircase with a hole. Drop down, defeat the enemies, and grab the key.
- Later, after beating the boss to obtain the Keystone of Terror, you’ll be able to enter the opposite side of the tower.
- The key unlocks a chest in the last chamber.
- Rewards:
- Defensive gear: Bracelet of Terror – Shadowstep
Acasa Marshes: Martial Lineage
- Location: From Jova Village, cross the swamps until you reach a hill with large monoliths. Go to the other side of the hill and you’ll see a clearing with four glowing pillars. Hit the easternmost pillar first, then strike the others as you go counter-clockwise.
- Rewards:
- Weapon: Lymbic Greatsword
- Defensive gear: Brooch of Terror – Dreadful Weave
- Consumable: Rage Suppressor – Weak
- Research item: Wrapped Candle
- Miscellaneous: Proud Father Letter
Secret: The sconces on the wall are part of the Enlightenment Puzzle.
Acasa Marshes: The Protector
- Location: You can complete this Mystery upon reaching Act 2 of the campaign. This is when you gain access to Pathem Abbey. Destroy the Timeloop in the depths of the abbey so you can pick up the Golden Clover. Then, head to the southern edge of Jova Village and place the Golden Clover in the tomb’s indentation.

Vyssa Hills: Lucky Break
- Location: Explore the mines in Vyssa Hills until you find the Rusted Key on a skeleton. This key unlocks a chest in the small ruins at the ridge near the waterfalls.

- Research item: Flower Medallion
Vyssa Hills: Pilgrimage
- Location: To be clear, you actually start this Hell Is Us Mystery in the Plains of Mist. There, you’ll find the ruins of a stone house, which happens to have a Barrel Key and an Exodus Note. The key opens a chest back in Vyssa Hills – Serpent Door. It’s in the open plains where you pick up the Token of the Palm.

Lake Cynon: Lost Keys
- Location: Here’s a quick summary on how to complete this Mystery in Hell Is Us:
- When you go to Lake Cynon, you’ll see a glowing item. Read it to discover that it’s the Lost Keys Note.
- Complete the Lake Cynon Puzzle so you can drain the pool of water. In the reservoir, you should find the Algae Key.
- Later when you visit Marastan, you’ll come across a shop called Samo’s General Store. Go to the back and unlock the container with the key.

Lake Cynon: Safekeeping
- Location: You have to progress further into the campaign until Abbot Jaffer and Rebecca move to Lake Cynon. Check the house at the edge of the meadow and pick up the Rustic Key. Then, return to Acasa Marshes and go to Pathem Abbey. There’s a small niche directly opposite the abbey’s side entrance.

- Miscellaneous: Safekeeping Letter
Talju: The Hideout
- Location: This Mystery quest concerns Agatha, the dead woman found in Vyssa Hills. Agatha actually has a hideout in Talju–i.e. It’s the house across from the Pharmacy, which is also the residence of an NPC that you need to rescue for Light in the Dark. Interact with the safe and input the serial number from Agatha’s ID–3-4-9-1-1–to open it.

- Recording: Agatha’s Diary
Talju: Supply Chain
- Location: This Mystery can also be completed in the village of Talju. First, grab the Pharmacy Key in the plaza. Once the refugees have escaped via the truck, unlock the Pharmacy door and check the computer. Use this code: 9-1-0-1-2.

Marastan: Locked Down
- Location: To complete this Hell Is Us Mystery, you need to go to the clearing near the river. There’s a newspaper article that tells you about scores in sports games. Then, return to the APC and run to the other end of the highway–i.e. away from the town. Use this code on the computer to gain access: 4-1-3-2.

Marastan: Ill-Gotten Gains (Part 1)
- Location: There’s a locked gate in Marastan crypts, which you delve into as part of the Blood Queen main quest. To open it, you need to check the basement of a family’s home–i.e. one of the houses with fuse boxes for the Power to the People side quest. Take the other exit and follow the path that leads to a tunnel, which connects to the observatory caverns. You’ll also find the Marastan Church Key in that area.
- Rewards:
- Defensive gear: Bracelet of Grief – Depression
- Research item: Wooden Horse Figurine
Marastan: Ill-Gotten Gains (Part 2)
- Location: You might’ve noticed that there’s a damaged wall in the crypt. In fact, scanning it reveals this message: “They bade me to strike this wall 50 times.” No, this isn’t Elden Ring, so smashing the wall with your weapons won’t do anything. Here’s what you need to do instead:
- Return to the APC and turn right to cross the bridge.
- At the second bridge, you’ll see several steps that lead to the mid-point of the village hill.
- There’s a well-hidden dirt path with a lone Hollow enemy. Look below to see a ledge.
- The passageway leads to the tunnel at the opposite side of the crypt.

- Research item: Lymbic Core
Lethe Ministry of Cultural Primacy: Blackmailed (Part 1)
- Location: The goal of the Hell Is Us Blackmailed Mystery is to open a Lymbic Door in the Lymbic Forge. Here’s the gist:
- In Lethe Ministry of Cultural Primacy, check one of the rooms where an NPC named Ahiji Evans is waiting. Pick up the Ministry Car Keys.
- Go back to the basement and unlock the car’s trunk to receive Lymbic Rod – Ecstasy X.
- Head back to the lower offices and grab the second Lymbic Rod – Ecstasy Y.
- Rewards: N/A
Lake Cynon/Lymbic Forge: Blackmailed (Part 2)
- Location: Once you have both Lymbic Rods, go back to the Lymbic Forge in Lake Cynon. Make a left while facing the doorway that leads to the waterwheels. In the side room, go up the steps to spot the Lymbic Door.
- Rewards:
- Weapon: Twin Axes of Rage
- Glyph: Recoil – Enhanced
- Research item: Bowl of Ash
Lethe National Library: Suspicious Activity
- Location: In Embry Hall below the Computer Room, there’s an email that tells you about a passcode–i.e. 5-0-5-5. Use it on the keypad in front of the second-floor room so you can get the Car Keys. Then, head back to the parking lot and unlock the trunk of the car that’s parked near the gate.

- Cap: Ecstasy
- Research item: Pottery Fragment
Plains of Mist: Overgrown
- Location: In the above-ground section of the Plains of Mist, you’ll find the Mossy Key near the pillar with the sword symbol. Go to the other side of the map–i.e. near the Hollow that’s throwing projectiles–and drop down the hole on the floor. You can use the key to unlock the chest.
- Rewards:
- Defensive gear: Idol of Ecstasy – Battle Stance
Plains of Mist: Ascetic Vows
- Location: After completing the second Plains of Mist Puzzle, you’ll be able to scan pillars related to sacraments. There’s a key at the edge of the section with the third and fourth sacraments. This opens a nearby trove.

- Miscellaneous: Lady Sophia’s Journal – Francis and Francis’ Journal – Queen’s Envoy
Auriga Museum: Great Responsibility
- Location: To resolve this Hell Is Us Mystery, you need to complete the main objective in Auriga Museum. Once you’ve obtained the Keystone of Terror, ride the elevator to reach a storeroom. There, you’ll be able to pick up the Iron Crown Symbol. This item can be used on the crest at the right-hand side of the entrance hall–i.e. the one with several Hollow statues that you can rotate.

Auriga Museum: Lax Security
- Location: There’s a room on the B3 section of the facility which has a computer. The email tells you that the code has been changed to 7-7-7-7-7. Go back to the Timeloop control room on B1 and input the code in the safe.
