Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is closely monitoring the inquiry into the secret videography incident at the Gudlavalleru Engineering College.
Naidu minister Kollu Ravindra, local MLAs and officials of the district, and asked them to visit the college campus. Since morning, he has been monitoring the developments through the district collector and SP over phone.
The Chief Minister told Kollu Ravindra and the district officials to see to it that the inquiry would be conducted in a transparent way. “If the charges are proven correct, stringent action should be initiated against the culprits,” he stressed.
He directed the officials to instill confidence among the students.
Naidu asked the officials to conduct an inquiry into students’ allegations that the college management adopted a negligent attitude to their complaints. If proven, action will be initiated, he said, and proposed to the students to directly send him evidence, if any.
The Chief Minister said he should be briefed every three hours on the progress of the ongoing inquiry.
