Heatwave breaks 1970 record in India, several cities faced dangerous heat: Report

India experienced its second-hottest quarter from June to August since 1970, with over one-third of the population facing at least seven days of dangerous heat. Climate change made high temperatures over three times more likely on 29 days during this period, affecting millions across the country.
