Starting January 1, 2025, Telangana will scrap vehicles older than 15 years that fail a mandatory fitness test. These vehicles cannot register or operate on roads. Owners must either scrap their vehicles or face penalties. Vehicles passing the test can run for an additional 3-5 years by paying a green tax.
