A former Nebraska running back has entered the transfer portal and signed with the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. Ajay Allen made the announcement on Friday afternoon.
Allen played for Nebraska during the 2022 season. The 4-star recruit only ran for 190 yards and two TDs before an injury prematurely ended his freshman season. Allen was able to redshirt because he only appeared in four games due to injury.
He would transfer to Miami, where he would play in 17 games across two seasons. The running back then transferred to FIU earlier this year before re-entering the transfer portal.
Tulsa is in desperate need of offensive weapons. Last season, the Golden Hurricanes finished 3-9 overall and 1-7 in the AAC. The rushing offense ranked tenth in their conference at a paltry 151.1 rushing yards per game.
