Florida gymnastics' redemption tour is set: See when the Gators face Oklahoma, LSU and others

Florida gymnastics redemption tour now has a start date: January 9.

And it has opponents to slay first: North Carolina, Temple and West Virginia.

The Gators will begin their 2026 season on the 9th day of the new year at home vs. the Mountaineers, Tar Heels and Owls at 6:45 p.m. It is the 5th season in a row coach Jenny Rowland and Co. will begin with a Quad-Meet.

Florida released its full 2026 schedule Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 17. The Gators will face the all eight SEC schools for the second consecutive season. The conference season opens January 16 at home vs. Alabama. The Crimson Tide are one of four national semifinalists or finalists the Gators see in 2026.

They got plenty of the Tide last season, defeating them in the regular season, SEC Tournament, NCAA Regionals and NCAA national semifinals.

Florida alternates between home and away meets throughout the month of January. It stays in the Cotton State with a trip to Auburn on January 23. The Gators return back to Gainesville for Arkansas the next week before some revenge at Missouri. The upstart Tigers stunned at the semifinals – defeating UF and stealing a spot in the National Championship meet.

The next road meet is Georgia on February 20. The big one is sandwiched between the Tigers and Bulldogs. That’s Oklahoma. The defending national champion Sooners make their first visit to North-Central Florida since 2022 and first as an SEC team.

After UGA, the Gators make a rare road trip to Denton, Texas, and Texas Woman’s University. An NCAA Division II member, the Pioneers are the lone collegiate gymnastics program in Texas.

A massive step-up in competition occurs the next week at the O’Connell Center when LSU visits. The Tigers spent much of last season ranked No. 1 after a national title in 2024. A road meet in Lexington vs. Kentucky ends the season on March 13.

The SEC Championship is March 21, and NCAA Regionals follow from April 1-5. The national semifinal is April 16 from Fort Worth, with the national championship two days later on Saturday.

The Gators failed to advance to the national championship meet for the first time since 2019 in 2025. Florida graduated program legend Leanne Wong, along with Ellie Lazarri and Victoria Nyugen among others.

Rowland, though, added five-star freshmen Maddy Dorbin and Jocelyn Sasson and four-stars Amelia Disidore and Jayla Booker, along with Cal transfer eMjae Frazier.
