Falcons safety Jessie Bates III makes NFL Top 100 Players of 2025

The Atlanta Falcons have several new faces to acclimate on defense as they prepare for the start of the 2025 NFL season. Fortunately, the team has a few experienced veterans in place, including safety Jessie Bates III and defensive lineman David Onyemata, to help ease the transition.

Bates was the only player in the NFL to record four interceptions and four forced fumbles last season. The 28-year-old signed a four-year, $64 million contract with the Falcons in 2023. Thus far, he’s been worth every penny.

While Bates didn’t make the Pro Bowl in 2024, he was listed on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2025 countdown. The playmaking safety was ranked No. 92 on the list. Watch the full segment below, as shared by the NFL’s social media account.
