Former Tennessee football wide receiver Squirrel White had an all-too-up-close view of the field storming after Virginia beat Florida State.
The Seminoles wide receiver was the target for a desperate heave from quarterback Tommy Castellanos on fourth-and-12 in double overtime. The pass was intercepted by Virginia’s Ja’Son Prevard in front of White, who tumbled to the ground in the end zone.
Virginia students flooded the field in a flash from their positioning on a hill behind the end zone to celebrate the 46-38 win. White was still on the ground and was immediately engulfed, vanishing underneath the rush of students.
