Someday I will complete my database of which celebs believe in which supernatural entities. Obviously we have diehard alien believers like Tom Delonge and Demi Lovato. Then you have your ghost hunters like Kristen Stewart and Dan Aykroyd. But what about demons? Well, look no further than demon of crowdwork Matt Rife, who has become the legal guardian of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s home. And with that home comes their entire collection of demonic IP, including Annabelle. Rife made the announcement on social media, saying he and ghost hunter Elton Castee bought the Warrens’ house.
Rife acknowledged the news was “super random” in his social media statement. “If you follow ghost stuff, this is about as big as it gets,” he said. (The Warrens claimed to be dealing primarily with demons, as shown in the Conjuring series, but congrats on the purchase.) He and Castee now own the house and are “legal guardians and caretakers” of the 750 artifacts in the Warren Museum. And yes, that includes Annabelle. So they own the house but are leasing Annabelle? Does Annabelle have the same rights as a human child, hence the legal guardian phrasing? Unclear! They plan to open the house up for overnight stays for folks to investigate the home and its mysteries. Which as anyone who’s seen Annabelle Comes Home knows, is bound to go super well. But who will investigate the mystery of the Warrens’ alleged underage third?
