“Do not send any VIP till May 31 for Char Dham Yatra”: Uttarakhand DGP writes letter to state DGPs

Since the opening of the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham on May 10, over one lakh devotees have made their way to Kedarnath. The total number of pilgrims visiting all four Char Dham sites has reached 2,76,416 thus far. In just four days, a record-breaking 1,26,306 devotees have journeyed to Kedarnath. All three dhams, namely Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, have been bustling with activity. The Char Dham Yatra commenced in Uttarakhand on May 10th.
