Delhi WAQF Imams allege non-payment of salary amid Govt allocating grants, demand probe

Several Imams of Delhi Waqf have raised concerns over non-payment of salaries despite central government grants, alleging discrepancies in fund allocation. Imams, including Qari Gyasur Hassan and Mufti Mohammed Qasim, reported delays of up to 30 months and criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government and WAQF board for mishandling funds. Despite an increase in salary from Rs 10,000 to Rs 18,000, many Imams remain unpaid. The imams have called for a thorough investigation into the matter.
