From classic titles to new releases, 2024 has been a big year for mobile games.
2024 is nearly over, and Apple has released a list of the most-downloaded games on the App Store this year. The list includes both free games and pay-to-play titles, along with iPhone and iPad games. Naturally, Apple Arcade games are also featured.
From cozy life sims featuring Sanrio characters to high-intensity first-person shooters, 2024’s most-downloaded App Store games have something for everyone.
Some of the titles that made the cut this year aren’t exactly a shock–it’s no surprise that Stardew Valley is seeing a spike in popularity after its massive recent update, for instance. But there are certainly a few surprises among this year’s most-played App Store games. The creepy king of mascot horror makes the list multiple times, and a recently released hotel-management sim is also topping the charts this year.
