Cam Ward to Tennessee Titans fans: 'They're getting a dawg'

The Tennessee Titans have a new face of the franchise after selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward first overall in the 2025 NFL draft.

Moments after the selection, Ward sat down with Jim Wyatt to talk about the moment and how he felt about being the top pick.

“It’s special. To get the process jump-started, I’m excited about the opportunity blessed me with,” Ward said, “and I’m ready to get to work with my teammates.”

Ward will be in Nashville on Friday to be introduced to the fan base, and he is ready to join his new team.

“I was hoping they’d pick me, for real, especially after I got to know more about coach Callahan’s offense.” He continued, “It all worked out in the long run.”

The Titans turned down multiple picks to select Ward, and he sounds like he is ready to run through a wall to help build Tennessee into contenders. Now, attention will turn to filling out the roster around Ward and his skill set.

In closing, Ward sent a message to Titans fans:

“They’re getting a dawg!” he said, “somebody who’s willing to do anything to put the team and themselves in a position to win, and the ultimate goal is to win championships.”
