Well after a bit of a hot streak, it looked like the Braves might have played themselves out of contention for the second best lottery odds, but now after a losing streak and some wins from some other teams, they are right back in the thick of it. Only 1.0 games in the standings separate the second best odds and the fifth best odds right now, but the Braves currently are tied for the third best odds with Baltimore. The Pirates are only 0.5 games ahead of the Braves for the second best odds though, so that is very much in play at this point. The Braves and Pirates play the last series of the season, so that matchup could have some extra weight to it.
