Fans of the Boston Celtics should not get too attached to recently-acquired guard Anfernee Simons. The Celtics are reportedly still trying to find a trade for the former Portland Trail Blazers sharpshooter. And while they may not be in a hurry to do so given their main motivation is to continue to pare back salary for this and perhaps next season (added to the fact that Simons’ substantial salary is an expiring deal), that still hints he might not suit up for Boston for very long — or perhaps even at all.
So the hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, are cautioning us to avoid getting our hopes up about a long Simons stint with the Celtics on a recent episode of their show.
