Benzema back to Europe? Mourinho weighs in
José Mourinho has sought to set the record straight regarding Karim Benzema. With rumors swirling about a possible move to Benfica Lisbon, the Portuguese manager swiftly shut down the speculation.
“I don’t think Benzema will return to Europe,” Mourinho stated, as quoted on the club’s official website. “He’s happy in Saudi Arabia, he’s winning titles and his financial situation is enviable. When you leave Europe at that age, it’s rare to come back.”
