Bears QB Caleb Williams' dog joined in on free hot dogs this week

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams unknowingly delivered on a promise of free hot dogs following his four-touchdown performance in Sunday’s 31-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

“The Wiener’s Circle” gave away 2,000 hot dogs on Tuesday after arguably the best game of Williams’ young career, where he completed 19-of-28 passes for 298 yards with four scores, no turnovers and a 142.6 passer rating, exciting all of Chicago and the Bears fanbase.

While Williams was unable to attend the giveaway, he was represented by his dog, Supa, who was an instant fan-favorite, because why wouldn’t he be? When meeting with the media on Wednesday, Williams talked about Supa’s appearance, revealing that he was allowed to eat a hot dog, but like a real Chicagoan, he did not put ketchup on said hot dog.

“My dog did go to the hot dog place,” Williams said. “He had a blast. Megan, she works for me, she brought him, and he had a blast. He had a hot dog, I heard. It’s not typically in his diet, but, I don’t think he had ketchup on it. He had a blast, when he ended up getting home, he ended up going inside his cage on his own and passing out, so he had a blast.”

Supa was not the only having a blast thanks to Williams’ performance last Sunday, as the Bears got their first win of the season, 2,000 hot dogs were given away, and it feels as if the franchise was energized from it all. For his performance, Williams was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, an achievement he played off according to head coach Ben Johnson as the focus shifts to this weekend’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
