New Barcelona signing Marcus Rashford has broken his silence on the uncertainty surrounding his registration, insisting he isn’t losing sleep over the matter.
Speaking during Barça’s pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, the 27-year-old addressed the media and struck a calm, confident tone about his future at the club.
Rashford, one of the Blaugrana’s headline arrivals for the 2025/26 campaign, downplayed concerns about the paperwork that still needs to be sorted for his registration.
“I think it’s something the club needs to resolve, and I’m confident it will happen. I’m focused on training and being ready for the start of the season,” he said when asked if he was worried about the situation.
Eyes on the Champions League
The England international made it clear that his focus is firmly on contributing to the team’s success, especially in Europe.
“Everyone wants to win the Champions League. Last year was fantastic, and now we have to try to recreate and improve on it by winning it,” said Rashford, underlining his hunger for silverware.

On a personal level, Rashford spoke about what he can bring to the squad. “I can play in different positions and score goals from all areas of the pitch.
“It is about being able to score from different areas, and hopefully we can take a step further than last year and try to win the Champions League,” he added.
High praise for new teammates
Rashford also had good words for his new teammates, showing his excitement about the high standards at the club.
“There are a lot of great players here, but I knew that before I came. The quality is very high, and the intensity too, and that’s what we need to maintain throughout the season,” he said.
For now, Rashford appears fully focused on preparing for the new season and helping Barcelona chase the biggest prizes in European football.
