Australia, US, UK sign nuclear transfer deal for AUKUS subs

Australia has signed a deal with the US and UK to exchange nuclear material and secrets, advancing its plans to acquire nuclear-powered submarines under the AUKUS agreement. The deal includes security arrangements for the transfer and handling of nuclear material but reinforces Australia’s commitment to non-proliferation. China has raised concerns about potential proliferation risks.
