The “Blast from the Past” event is series of time-limited quests and rewards in The Sims 4. If you complete all the quests tied to it, you can get free items like The Suprise Birthday Cake and The ElectroDance Floor.
Participating in the “Blast from the Past” doesn’t require additional purchases and is free to all The Sims 4 owners. The quest storylines all focus on strange visitors and the mystery of time travel. (Apparently, there’s some dude named Emit, but you’ll have to complete the content to see what his deal is.)
The event started on Monday, Feb. 4, and will run for six weeks, with two new quests that unlock each week. If you miss a week, you can backtrack and complete the content from the previous weeks. Just make sure you log on and complete the quests before the entire live event ends.

How to start the ‘Blast from the Past’ event in The Sims 4
The first quest in The Sims 4 “Blast from the Past” event is called “A Strange Visitor.” To start it, load up any save on The Sims 4, enter live mode, and wait a bit. A window will automatically appear with the title “A Strange Visitor.” Click the “OK” button on the pop-up window and the quest will begin.
How to get free items in The Sims 4 ‘Blast from the Past’ event
To earn free items as part of The Sims 4 “Blast from the Past” event you need to complete the required quests like “A Strange Visitor” and “Missing Clues.” Once you finish these (and all the quests that will unlock in later weeks) you will earn Event Points.
To spend the Event Points, return to the main menu of The Sims 4 and click the “Events” tab at the top of the screen. From there, click the “Claim” button to get the items.
