We don’t know much about what went down at the 2025 US Open on Friday night, but we do know that a couple got engaged, with the proceedings broadcast on the Jumbotron and commentated on by ESPN.
A man got down on one knee during the third-round match between Leylah Fernandez and Aryna Sabalenka and egged on the cheering crowd. The woman he proposed to was shocked and tearful before saying yes, and the commentary was perfect: “Now this is pressure, never mind the tennis.”
With couples like Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman or Taylor Fritz and girlfriend Morgan Riddle, there’s plenty of love to enjoy at the US Open (beyond the score in tennis). But this is priceless!
A moment of love at the US Open!
