The Israeli military has killed five militants in a large-scale operation in the West Bank, including a commander from the Islamic Jihad militant group. The commander, Mohammed Jaber, known as Abu Shujaa, and four others were killed in a shootout while hiding in a mosque. Violence in the region has intensified since Hamas’ recent attacks.
