28 September is International Safe Abortion Day. To mark it, France reaffirms its commitment to women’s access to voluntary termination of pregnancy. It must be possible to exercise this basic right under satisfactory conditions of safety, respect and dignity.
France was the first country to enshrine in its constitution the freedom to have a voluntary pregnancy termination, in March 2024.
It is taking action to guarantee access to sexual and reproductive health and rights worldwide. In (…)
