Ibrahima Fofana finally scores for Hammarby
Guinean defender Ibrahima Fofana will long remember August 10, 2025.
Starting for Hammarby against IFK Norrköping, the 22-year-old scored his very first Allsvenskan goal. It was a stunner in the 62nd minute, sealing a 2-0 victory for Bajen. “I was so happy. I can’t put into words how I feel,” he told Aftonbladet.

Arriving at Hammarby in 2023 as a midfielder, Ibrahima Fofana had to adapt to find his place:
It’s not easy, because it’s not my natural position. Kim (Bergstrand) first tried me at centre-back, and today I played right-back. But it’s a great experience to keep improving.
With 30 appearances already in the Stockholm club’s shirt, the Guinean player is proving he can seize his chance—no matter where he’s asked to play.
