A man suffered a fatal fall at Wembley Stadium Saturday night, during an Oasis reunion show. The man fell from an upper balcony, though it is not yet known how. The band issued a statement saying they are “shocked and saddened” by the death. London’s Metropolitan Police said officers and paramedics responded to reports of an injured person at 10:19 p.m. At the stadium, they found a man “with injuries consistent with a fall,” per BBC News. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are asking anyone with footage of the fall to come forward.
“We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night,” Liam and Noel Gallagher said in a statement Sunday. “Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.” The band went on with Sunday’s show at Wembley as planned. The reunion tour will continue in Edinburgh August 8, 9 and 12.
