Gary Busey has pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact on July 31, related to a charge in 2022, where he was “touching the buttocks of a female over the clothing” at a fan convention in New Jersey. “It was not an accidental touching,” Busey told the virtual court on Thursday, reports The Guardian. He was initially charged with four counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of attempted criminal sexual contact for the case. Busey has not been sentenced yet, but he faces fines and one to five years of probation for pleading guilty.

In August 2022, several women accused Busey of sexual misconduct during meet-and-greets at the Monster-Mania Con fan convention; the convention had removed Busey from the event after getting several complaints about his actions. He told TMZ at the time the accusations were false, telling the outlet, “They made up this story that I assaulted them sexually when I did not. Nothing happened. Nothing. It was all false.”
