What's the latest on injured Tennessee Titans' CB L'Jarius Sneed?

2024 was a difficult season for the Tennessee Titans. They struggled to a 3-14 record, and most of their high-priced offseason additions failed to make an impact.

Under new general manager Mike Borgonzi this offseason, the Titans have parted ways with some of those disappointing players and appear to be going in a different direction at many positions. However, one of the most disappointing additions remains on the roster, and on Tuesday, head coach Brian Callahan gave an update on his status during his media session

“He’s coming back injury-wise. So, the rehab process is ongoing. He’s in a good spot, excited about where he’s at.” Callahan said as he discussed cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. “But there’s definitely a part of, I’d like to practice more. I think he’s on the same page, too, where you got to balance those things.”

Sneed was a massive disappointment in 2024, spending most of the season on injured reserve battling a quad injury. Now, as the Titans prepare to start Phase 3 of their OTAs, Sneed is rehabbing knee and quad injuries as he works his way back into the lineup.

“It’s both (the knee and quad). I mean the knee is something that you manage all the time. And then for the quad injury, it has taken some time to rehab from.” Callahan said, “So those things are still kind of ongoing, simultaneously. It’s all part of the process for him. But he’s in a great place, excited about where he’s at. He’s progressing as expected.”

The Titans’ defense struggled to stay healthy in 2024, which was a significant reason they wilted down the stretch. Hearing that Sneed is still rehabbing his in-season injuries is concerning and must be monitored throughout the rest of the offseason.
