Faced with a challenging series at home against one of college baseball’s best, the Alabama Crimson Tide certainly bounced back this past weekend.
Needing a series win against the Top 10 ranked Bulldogs to boost their regional host chances, Alabama opened the series about as rough as you can with a 19-3 run-rule loss, but bounced back over the next two games with wins to end up taking the three-game set in a big resume-boosting weekend.
As a result, Alabama not only kept their regional hosting chances alive, but might now potentially be in the drivers seat to end up hosting with a strong showing in Gainesville this upcoming weekend.
Here is a look at some reactions on social media to Alabama’s series win over Georgia on Sunday afternoon.
After getting run ruled game 1, Alabama takes games 2 and 3 against Georgia.
An incredible turnaround that could spark something before postseason play.
RPI has jumped all the way to 9 and the Tide are 39 wins.
Should be a great series against the Gators next weekend. pic.twitter.com/ToRH84R2E7

Big Mother’s Day Sunday for Alabama Baseball.
Tide entered the day at 13th in the RPI. But, after beating top ranked Georgia twice today, Bama should see a significant rise in this important NCAA Tournament metric. pic.twitter.com/WfCs7zG2ww

Impressive resiliency by @AlabamaBSB. #Tide was crushed in the series opener by UGA, but bounces back by taking the final two games, 9-3 and 5-4. Justin LeBron had three hits in the series finale. https://t.co/iOuoPiP9OL
