BJP made Odia Asmita and Odia Pride the poll issue during the election campaign and that seems to be working in favour of the party. A major setback has also come for the BJD in the Lok Sabha elections with the party leading on only two seats in the state. BJD has managed to maintain a lead in Jajpur and Kandhamal seat while BJP is leading on 18 seats. Congress has managed to retain the Koraput seat which it won in the 2019 elections.
