Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at an election rally in West Bengal, accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of granting “false caste certificates” to Muslims, thus undermining the rights of “original” OBCs. He criticized the TMC for obstructing development schemes with its stance of “will not let it happen”. Modi alleged that the TMC’s actions are a blatant attack on the Constitution and are aimed at appeasing a particular section.
