9 of 46 associations of IMA led by women, only one female president since its start: Study

Research found that only nine out of 46 sub-associations in the Indian Medical Association (IMA) are led by women, reflecting insufficient female leadership. Since its establishment in 1928, the IMA has had just one female president. The study highlighted the urgent need to address gender inequities within professional medical associations.
