2025 NFL draft: 20 potential Day 2 targets for Tennessee Titans

With the first round of the 2025 NFL draft in the books, the Tennessee Titans still have a lot of work to do building their roster.

After selecting Cam Ward with the first pick, all of the attention will turn to pick 35 and what they will do with their only scheduled Day 2 selection. They could make a trade in an attempt to acquire more picks, but at this point, nothing appears to be on the horizon.

Looking ahead to that second-round selection, there are still plenty of prospects available that would have value at that spot for the Titans. Some of the players profiled as Day 2 prospects that have been connected to the Titans during the pre-draft process, who are still on the board.

Now the question will be what direction they decide to go with their selection. If NFL trends hold, Tennessee will look at the wide receiver position. Tennessee did sign veteran Tyler Lockett on Thursday, but could still look at wideouts. Entering round two, Luther Burden, Kyle Williams, Will Sheppard, Tai Felton, and Tre Harris are all available, with Williams having a slight edge due to his history with Ward.

Before the draft, many analysts believed the Titans could look at the edge position. However, Tennessee didn’t bring in many edge prospects into the facility. Other than Abdul Carter, who went No. 3, the team only brought in edge Femi Oledejo. Oledejo is still on the board entering Friday and could fill a need, but there are also quality edge players in Donovan Ezeiruaku and Mike Green still on the board.

Tennessee did extensive homework on the defensive line position throughout the pre-draft process, and there are multiple prospects still on the board. Defensive tackles Darious Alexander, TJ Sanders, and Cam Jackson are all available if they decide to bolster that part of the roster.

If they decide to add some quality young depth to the offensive line, guard Tate Ratledge and tackle Charles Grant both spent time with the franchise in the weeks leading up to the draft and could be possibilities. Although picking 35 might be early for them in this class.

One position, besides wide receiver, that could be in play to boost the offense is running back. Running backs Kaleb Johnson, Cam Skattebo, Dylan Sampson, and TreVeyon Henderson are all available and could be deemed a change of pace from Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears.

One of the last positions they could look at with quality players available who have had contact with the team is safety. Both Xavier Watts and Andrew Mukaba are available and have both visited Nashville. Cornerback Will Johnson might be the highest-ranked player remaining, but his medicals could be causing his slide.

Tennessee should be on the clock around 7:20 Friday night when the draft resumes in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
