🚨 Man City midfielder faces lengthy injury lay-off after surgery

Man City midfielder Mateo Kovačić is facing a spell on the sidelines following surgery.

The Croatia international missed out on City’s FA Cup final clash with Crystal Palace and was absent for the 2-0 Premier League victory at Fulham in late May. 

Croatia manager Zlatko Dalić has confirmed that Kovačić underwent surgery for a recent heel injury, which will result in a three-month recovery period for the 31-year-old.

Kovačić was a central figure in Pep Guardiola’s first team in the 2024/25 campaign, making 42 appearances in all competitions and contributing seven goals.
